Headteacher's Welcome

At East Rainton Primary School the staff are dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe. Everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential within a supportive learning environment.

We teach through a structured topic based curriculum with a strong focus on the skills within literacy and numeracy. We aim to develop an interest in learning as well as respect for others.

We have high expectations of all children enabling them to become excellent citizens in the future. It is through a supportive partnership approach that we can work with children and their families to achieve the best for every child.

Raising money for Marie Curie

The Rota Kids organised a yellow day to raise money for a Marie Curie. They ran it  fantastically and we raised over 300 pounds for.  People paid a pound to come to school in something yellow.

East Rainton helping the environment

The children enjoyed working with Beck from Groundworks today to find out more about recycling and looking after their environment.  They found lots of litter not only around the perimeter of the school but also in the school grounds too . They enjoyed collecting all the rubbish and making their area look much nicer.

Tag Team Rugby

The Tag Team Rugby Festival was held at Kepier on 9th March. The team won one of the three games and you could see that the Monday night training had helped their skills.

Well done team!
